Job description

As a Transport Coordinator Inbound, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring incoming container flows to the warehouse. You will work from the European Control Tower in Born and will be part of a team of 8 colleagues.

You liaise daily with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure shipments run according to plan. In the event of deviations, you take immediate action and arrange suitable solutions. You continuously monitor the balance between costs, service, and operational efficiency.

Your main responsibilities:

Coordinating and monitoring inbound container transport (ocean and rail)
Identifying and resolving delays and deviations
Maintaining contact with customers, transporters, and internal departments
Actively contributing to process optimisations within inbound planning
Ensuring correct and complete administrative processing in systems

About you

You are solution-oriented, service-minded, and maintain an overview in a dynamic working environment. You communicate clearly and switch easily between different parties.

Additionally, please bring the following:

A completed MBO Level 3 qualification as a minimum, preferably in a logistics-related field
Any experience with inbound transport (ocean and rail)?
Good command of the German and English languages, both spoken and written
Experience with Excel
Experience with TMS is an advantage
Independent work ethic and a high sense of responsibility
Accuracy and attention to detail
